Radio Message

We have been studying the book of Revelation and its prophecies for the end of the age, the time in which we are now living. Thereby we are laying to rest some of the misconceptions that are circulating about the book of Revelation and the message it contains. In the inspired Scriptures the book of Revelation is evidently the climax, the apex of the entire Bible. This book has been placed in our Bible, not to terrify us out of our wits (as the misinformed have thought), but to give us faith, hope, and to strengthen us spiritually so that we will be able to endure the traumatic trials of the end-time tribulation that are coming closer with each passing day.

Many published news items hint at an earthquake, a severe earthquake, striking one of the populated areas of the West, perhaps California. The scientists of our time are concerned and they’re warning the public, but how many people are heeding the warning? We must remember that when we hear these predictions, when we observe the devastation that was caused several years ago in California, or the earthquake in Mexico, or the earthquake in Italy, or Tangshan, China, or in Kobe, Japan, for instance, we can sense the serious nature of the destructive potential that lurks all around us just below the surface of the earth. Those earthquakes just happened within the past decade or so.

We in the United States should take warning. Which country will bail us out of a serious situation? Which foreign nation would send medical supplies, food, and clothing to relieve the suffering and help out the United States if we suffered a severe earthquake or some other equally severe catastrophe? I would venture to say that the other nations of the world would descend like vultures upon a carcass to loot our country, picking us clean, down to the bare bones rather than helping us. Now is when we need to prepare ourselves for such an eventuality; Almighty Yahweh the Heavenly Father has indicated in His Word that there would be numerous severe earthquakes and other calamities occurring in the last days.

Yahshua the Messiah, the greatest prophet who ever lived, declared in Matthew chapter 24, Luke chapter 21, and Mark chapter 13, that a great many earthquakes would occur in the last days, striking all around the world. Consequently, it is up to us first of all to prepare ourselves spiritually, because we never know at what moment it will be when the earth begins moving under our feet. Actually there is NO safety except to know that you have the protection of our loving Heavenly Father Yahweh.

Yahshua the Messiah predicts that there would be awful events taking place in the last days. "And there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences; and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven." (Luke 21:11). Scientists warn of the destructive power of meteorites if one were to slam into the earth. Even one of relatively small size could cause a huge catastrophe, and there is no way to defend ourselves against such an event.

Do you recall the predictions concerning the Jupiter effect of two decades ago? The alignment of the planets in 1982 brought them to their closest orbits to the sun. Would some of that gravitational pull coming from the sun draw off some of the atmosphere of the earth, or slide some of the continents around and cause severe earthquakes? Would the gravitational pull from Jupiter, or some of the magnetism from Jupiter spring out towards the earth and produce cataclysmic effects? Would the gravitational effect from the planets pull firestorms from the sun? None of these predictions happened. However, do we really know the effect on the human body that could be caused by the powerful radiation expelled by the recent solar activity?

Additionally, the entire Bible is the Word of Yahweh, and when we allow the Bible teachings to circumcise our hearts, we may be brought into a close covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father Yahweh. That covenant relationship will eventually bring us into the a state of adoption into the very family of the Most High Elohim. Yahshua, the Messiah, is the one who cuts away our carnal nature because He is our example. We must walk in His steps and do no sin. He wishes us to be in a state of perfection so that we can be like Him. Circumcision of the heart is defined as loving Yahweh with all our heart and soul (Deuteronomy 30:6). Circumcision of the heart will cut away (remove) whatever might stand between us and total obedience to Yahweh.

Notice also Revelation 2:17, "He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him that overcomes, to him will I give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and upon the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he that receives it."

The hidden manna refers us back to Exodus chapter 16, where the manna from heaven was given as food for Israel. At that time the children of Israel were in desperate need of food. Manna is from a Hebrew expression meaning, "What is it?" Manna indicates spiritual food, to feed the people of Yahweh with the bread of life. The manna from heaven in our time is Yahshua the Messiah, as He said in His own words, John 6:48-58. If we overcome the world and avoid the pitfalls of false doctrine, we may eat of that hidden manna (food) of heaven and we may grow in grace and in the knowledge of Yahshua the Messiah. We must come to know Him and what it means to be a part of His spiritual body.

The white stone indicates an affirmative vote, the approval of the Savior as He sits to judge the world. "…And upon the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he that receives it." That new name is our eternal salvation, to be called by the Name of Yahweh when we are adopted into His family. The Name of Yahweh means everlasting existence, everlasting life. Yahweh will give us the special name as it pleases Him at the Second Coming of Yahshua.

However, we must make our preparations now! We must recognize the authority of our heavenly Father over us through our obedience to His commandments. Then Almighty Yahweh promises to accept into His Kingdom all those who have become free of sin. See 1 John 3:4. Will you seek to do His will as He has commanded us?
