"What do you mean by these stones?"
is a question asked in Yahshua (Joshua) 4:6. Perhaps in your own mind there arises a similar question regarding this month’s cover photo. This photograph depicts part of the restored walls of Tel Beersheva. The biblical town of Beersheva served as the home of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at various times during their lives. Later, during the Israelite monarchy, it served as the defensive position for the western Negev (Arad served such a function in the eastern Negev). Archaeologists have derived a great deal of information from their numerous excavations throughout the land of Israel. Yet, the Bible contains the information that comprises the road map for the archaeologists. The sacred Scriptures comprises more than merely ancient history, it also contains the plan of salvation.
